Osteoporosis is a bone disease that makes the bones porous, fragile and prone to fractures. Osteoporosis is a silent disease which generally causes no symptoms until bones become so thin and weak that a minor injury can result into a fracture. It is usually seen in old age people and is a very common in postmenopausal women.
